Welcome to 2CRVR Vacation Rentals. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website https://2crvr.com and the online booking process, operated by Two Costa Rica Vacation Rental (cédula jurídica 3-102-672072). By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

1. Scope of These Terms

These Terms govern your use of this website and the online booking process only. Once a reservation is confirmed, the terms of your stay are governed by the rental agreement provided at the time of booking. If there is any conflict between these Terms and your rental agreement, the rental agreement takes precedence.

2. Use of the Service

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not use it in any way that violates applicable law or regulation, or that could give rise to civil or criminal liability.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

• Using the site to harass, abuse, or threaten others
• Using automated systems (bots, spiders, scrapers) to access the site at a rate beyond what a person could reasonably produce
• Attempting to interfere with, compromise, or probe the security of the site or its servers

3. Booking and Reservations

Submitting a booking request through our website does not guarantee a reservation. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A signed rental agreement and deposit are required to confirm a reservation.

Payment Terms

• All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated
• A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking
• The remaining 50% balance is due within 60 days of your check-in date
• Prices are exclusive of Costa Rica's 13% sales tax
• A security deposit of $500 is required via credit card upon arrival; release is initiated within 72 hours of departure, subject to payment processor timing
• Minimum check-in age is 25 years for the contract signer

By providing a payment method, you authorize 2CRVR Vacation Rentals to charge the applicable fees, deposits, and any damages or penalties as described in your rental agreement. You agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes for charges that are valid and authorized under these Terms or your rental agreement. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in collection action and forfeiture of future booking privileges.

Cancellation Policy

• 60+ days before arrival: full refund minus transfer fees
• 30–59 days before arrival: 50% refund minus fees
• Less than 30 days: no refund unless the owner re-rents the property (20% cancellation fee applies)

Once confirmed, your reservation is governed by the specific rental agreement and cancellation policy provided at that time, which may include additional or different terms.

4. Guest Responsibilities

By booking through our website, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• You are responsible for any damage to the property or its contents caused by you or members of your party during the stay
• You will respect the maximum occupancy limits specified for the property
• No parties, events, or gatherings beyond the registered guest count are permitted unless approved in writing
• You will comply with all house rules provided for the property, including noise, parking, and pool usage guidelines
• You will leave the property in a reasonable condition at checkout

Detailed guest responsibilities and house rules are included in the rental agreement. Violations may result in forfeiture of your security deposit, additional charges, or early termination of your stay.

5. SMS Program Terms

2CRVR Vacation Rentals sends SMS messages to guests who opt in on the booking form.

Message types include:

• Booking confirmations and updates
• Check-in and check-out instructions
• Property access codes and directions
• Schedule changes or operational notices

Program details:

• Message frequency varies based on your booking activity
• Message and Data Rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan
• Reply STOP to any message to opt out of SMS communications at any time
• Reply HELP to receive support information
• SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of booking or purchase
• Carrier support varies by country and provider; delivery is not guaranteed on all networks

2CRVR Vacation Rentals is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier network issues or device incompatibility.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, photographs, graphics, logos, and page design — is owned by Two Costa Rica Vacation Rental or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may view and use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or republish any content without written permission, except for what your browser automatically caches for display.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

This website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information presented. Your use of this website is at your sole risk, including any interruptions caused by third-party services such as payment processors, hosting providers, or external APIs.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, 2CRVR Vacation Rentals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of this website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to: natural disasters, severe weather, earthquakes, floods, pandemics, government actions or travel restrictions, war, civil unrest, strikes, power outages, or failures of third-party services.

In the event of a force majeure situation, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected guests and work toward a fair resolution, which may include rescheduling or credit toward a future stay, at our reasonable discretion. Force majeure does not automatically entitle guests to a full refund.

9. Termination and Refusal of Service

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and with or without notice, to refuse service, cancel bookings, or suspend access to this website for any user who violates these Terms, engages in abusive or fraudulent behavior, or whose conduct we reasonably believe poses a risk to our properties, staff, or other guests.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Quepos, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica for the resolution of any disputes.

11. Changes to Terms of Service

We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
